Smoke

This is an exploration of being completely candid, open, and raw. The dance is a way for me to be completely vulnerable in all ways. It depicts my struggle against my eating disorders, body dysmorphia, and depression as a dancer. It is set in or around my kitchen, a place that holds both immense sorrow and joy. The movement is purely improvisational and each emotion depicted is unfiltered.

I am an upcoming sophomore at Troy University and am pursuing my BFA in Dance. I am mostly a musical theater dancer but coming to Troy has made me branch out into different styles. I have done the Rockettes Summer Intensive in 2018-2019 and am currently choreographing a local production of Newsies.
